this site is a work in progress · some things may shift

the human behind the work

beyond the research papers and product specs, there's someone who gets lost in bookstores, takes too many photos of the sky, and believes the best conversations happen over mint tea.

roots

born in tunisia. shaped by montreal, london, and the in-between spaces of airports and late-night calls home. i carry multiple languages in my head and switch between them mid-thought. arabic for feeling, french for precision, english for work, and something wordless for everything else.

what moves me

light

golden hour obsessed. i chase sunsets and wake up for sunrises. there's something about the way light changes everything it touches.

words

poetry, essays, fragments. i write to understand what i think. currently: rereading mahmoud darwish, discovering new voices, filling notebooks.

film

shooting on 35mm. the patience of analog, the surprise of not knowing until the roll comes back. imperfection as aesthetic.

movement

yoga at dawn. long walks with no destination. the kind of thinking that only happens when the body is in motion.

food

cooking as meditation. my grandmother's recipes adapted for small kitchens. sharing meals as the oldest form of community.

questions

the kind that don't have answers. what does it mean to belong? how do we build things that last? what are we not seeing?

lately

reading the mushroom at the end of the world
listening fairuz on repeat, khruangbin for focus
watching old wong kar-wai films
learning to be still

what i believe
